Terms and Conditions of Membership
- Election to Membership shall be by the Board of Directors upon application and nomination by the Membership Committee.
- All applications for Membership shall be made in writing upon an appropriate form approved by the Board of Directors.
- If and whenever the Club shall have the number of Members of any category as determined by the Board of Directors, no further elections to Membership in such category may be made until a vacancy occurs in the Membership in such category.
- No person shall be disqualified from Membership by reason of race, color, religion, national origin or sex. As used herein, the masculine shall include the feminine gender.
- All membership is subject to Initiation Fees and Monthly Dues as determined from time to time by the Board of Directors.
- Any person eligible for Membership through application accept abiding to the Club’s By-laws, Rules and Regulations, written or verbally communicated.

Membership Categories
The following membership categories are available at this time; however, the Board of Directors has the right to change and close the categories or create new categories from time to time as they see fit.
All categories are subject to specific terms and conditions which are available at the Club.
[a] Resident Members. Resident Members shall consist of those who have attained age 36 years and who either reside or have their principal place of business less than 40 miles from the City and County of San Francisco.
[b] Junior Members. Resident Members who have not attained age 36 shall be designated junior Members. The total of all resident Members (regular and junior) shall not exceed one thousand three hundred.
[c] Nonresident Members. Nonresident Members shall consist of those who reside and have their principle place of business more than 40 miles from the City and County of San Francisco.
[d] Nonresident Banker Members. Executives of banks located outside of the State of California may be admitted to Membership on such terms and for such periods as the board may from time to time determine. They shall be designated Nonresident Banker Members.
[e] Foreign Diplomatic Corps Members. Persons serving in the Diplomatic Corps of foreign governments officially recognized by the United States may be admitted to Membership on such terms and for such periods as the Board of Directors may from time to time determine. They shall be designated Diplomatic Members.
[f] Retired Members. Retired Members shall consist of those resident Members who have retired from their business or professional organization as shown in the records of the corporation and who concurrently with their retirement have either resigned or transferred resident Membership pursuant to provisions of this Article.
[g] Honorary Members. The Board of Directors has the power to elect honorary Members.
[h] Associate Members. Bankers Breakfast Club Members shall be considered as associate Members.

Membership Privileges

- Excellent cuisine, including chef’s attention to traditional favorites in addition to light, fresh market specials.
- Access to the most spectacular view in San Francisco for breakfast and lunch.
- Convenience.
- Appropriate ambiance to conduct business meetings. Access to meeting rooms with spectacular views with ability to host meetings from 2 to 200 guests.
- A Game and Domino room for games and casual dining; open until 4:00 p.m.
- Guest cards for guest of Members.
- A variety of activities including CEO luncheons, dinners, theater events and Christmas party for Members and their guest.
- Spousal and their guests’ use of the Club facilities; separate billing for your spouse is available.
- Reciprocal Clubs both nationally and internationally, including the World Trade Club.
- Billing to credit cards of Member’s choice to qualify for frequent flyer miles and other amenities.
- Wine Condominiums available for rental.
- Transfer of Membership to another person in Member’s company should current Member decide to relinquish Membership.
- Beverages available until 7:00 p.m. at Bankers Club prices for Members.
- Dinner in the Carnelian Room with preferred seating and service; PLUS 25% Privilege Pricing adjustment on Carnelian Room food and beverage charges in the Main Dining Room.
- Reinstitution of Member round-table lunches.
- Additions to the menu to include lighter fresh market specials.
- WEB site for accessibility of information concerning the club, its features, changing events, additional reciprocity agreements and menu offerings.
- New e-mail system for better communication to Bankers Club Members.

Reciprocal Clubs
Reciprocal Clubs are clubs from around the world which have reciprocal arrangements with the Bankers Club for his members to use their facilities and services under certain terms and conditions as determined. These terms can change from time to time and are at the discretion of each club. This list can change and the Bankers Club reserves the right to add or delete Clubs from time to time as it sees fit.

Carnelian Room – the Residence of the Bankers Club
The Bankers Club, San Francisco's premier private business club, is located at and serviced by the Carnelian Room and has a 33 year tradition of exclusivity at this fine dining location for luncheon business. Management and staff of the Carnelian Room join the Bankers Club in their mission to offer honorable members and guests exclusive dining privileges from 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday. Club Members enjoy privileged conditions for dinner including free corkage fees and reduced room rates for certain private dining rooms and suites. Service to members is the primary concern of the staff with name recognition and special attention to accommodating requests immediately anywhere at the Carnelian Room.
